I downloaded a paint-type application off of ares. And, sadly this has happened before and I never learn, whenever I open it, after a while my norton antivirus asks me if I want to allow olord.exe to access the internet (a DNS server), and I hit no. It happens so frequently and there seems to be nothing I can do. I located the file or whatever, but I'm unable to delete it. I don't know what to do. It always ends up slowing the crap out of my laptop and shuts it down after one minute precisely. I'm really confused, but I don't want to do a system restore. I'm running spy bot right now, but it doesn't work. It makes me sad. How should I remove the virus or whatever it is?
I think I have a virus that's going to make me have to do do a system restore in a few days.?computer repair
olord.exe doesn't Google or Ask so no help their, sorry
If you would add the name of the program to your question it would help
The next is long but VERY effective and free
Used with permission from NumberSix6
Printing this would be helpful
Step 1) DON'T PANIC! Take a deep breath and go grab a cup of your favorite beverage. This may take awhile.
Step 2) Clean up your pc. Remove programs you don't use via the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. In Vista, you remove programs by clicking Programs and Features in the Control Panel. If you are unsure of a particular program, you can check it against a list of offenders here: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread....
