How do i get rid of this virus?

ok so i visited a certain website and to watch a video it said i had to install a something video player so i clicked install and as soon as i did that my computer started poping out all this things to download antivirus(it's still doing it) also it keeps saying that my computer is infected and stuff like that. So what should i do to kill the virus, also my computer's slowing down.

reboot into safe mode and scan with AVG or whatever anti-virus your running, make sure it's updated. and then scan with spybot search and destroy.

Make sure that you have a good anti virus and anti spy ware program installed on your computer.

alright never download things if you don't have mcafee site advisor and now when you have downloaded this you can do this-- if you can find the location of the virus then delete it manually or use norton this is the best one available don't download 100's of antiviruses as that will slow down your computer.
download avg its a free good anti virus program and download adaware se you can get them both at downloads.com
