Antivirus/internet security??

my norton internet security is about to expire, looking for a cheaper sollution i questioned what to do earlier. most answered just upgrade norton or buy something similar. However a few suggested avast antivirus and comodo firewall(both free)along with a spyware prog. I have been trying this on an old pc today, i downloaded some files from a p2p network wich i know i have downloaded before on my new pc and avast picked up more than 1 threat including a trojan and worms, norton picked up nothin, is my newer pc likely to be infected??

I use comodo firewall and its excellent and have now installed the beta version of comodo anti-virus and i find that really good a well...

I also run super antispyware once a week and don't have any problems.....

there's also a free norton that you can download from google if you liked that, its on the google page then, in more then, even more then the google package...

ESET Smart Security is about 10x better than norton
