Norton antivirus question help?

norton antivirus is asking me to run a live update because my virus definitions are from 10/10/2007 in other words they are out of date and so i click run liveupdate in the norton antivirus program and it says this

but my virus definitions are still not updated

There might be something wrong with Live Update. Click the link below and download a new Live Update. Click on the + sign beside the version of Norton you're using.
